Let the protest of Ogyen Trinley Dorje’s 2015 tour begin with his “Joining Heart and Mind: Creating a Compassionate World” event scheduled for April, 14, 2015, in New York City. Nothing is outside the scope of a Gyalwa Karmapa’s practice, as such, but such conduct is unacceptable to us as Americans. This is not the relationship we want with Ogyen Trinley Dorje. A Gyalwa Karmapa is not a commodity. We must nip such events in the bud. This cannot be allowed to happen on our watch as Buddhists. This is not who we are. We object to Ogyen Trinley Dorje appearing at such an event in the strongest possible terms. His Holiness must not appear at this event. This event cannot be allowed to happen! Whatever it takes, Bill. Thank You.

Karmapa Chenno!

Merci.

Indulgences? “….the later Middle Ages saw the growth of considerable abuses. Greedy commissaries sought to extract the maximum amount of money for each indulgence. Professional “pardoners”(quaestores in Latin) – who were sent to collect alms for a specific project – practiced the unrestricted sale of indulgences. Many of these quaestores exceeded official Church doctrine, whether in avarice or ignorant zeal, and promised rewards like salvation from eternal damnation in return for money.”

…Or refuge, living with compassion and saving the environment. What hypocrisy.

We’re being sold the spiritual garbage that we’re addicted to as a way of financing Tibetan Buddhism.

I’d just make all the tickets the same price and pass them out like a lottery. Karmapa Chenno.
