A Karmapa that walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, is a duck

Picture of Ogyen Trinley Dorje, walking like a duck, and quacking like a duck, raising money under the guise of teaching us, he must be a duck

“Given Ogyen Trinley Dorje’s problem with accounting for his money in the past the mere appearance of his coming to Germany to raise money for his Karma Kagyu sect, a known corrupt enterprise, back in India under the pretense of teaching us the dharma is obviously problematic for us as Westerners.”

So says Werner.

it’s true that seeing his last videos in Germany, I was almost sorry for those who believed that he was the true candidat . Taking age, it turned out that he was more catastrophic that i sensed in the beginning ; I wonder if it’s not him the rebel of Ponlop’s band , playing asshole as he does and fucking all the projects of the diaspora

I back the 16th Karmapa’s disinterest in raising large amounts of money.

I back the 17th Karmapa’s interest in raising “enough” money to support broadcasts and dharma teachings.

I do not support the idea that money represents building a pure realm kingdom on this earth. I’d rather see a hospital built.

My question to you or the readers of this blog: how much money was raised in Germany and in the U.S.? And, what is the purpose of the funds? Without accountability, the structure of any organization is going to be abused.

Interesting that Dhagpo Kagyu Ling beat Karmapa Foundation to the copyright for the term Karmapa in France. I wonder if this is why Trinley Dorje cannot visit France- the govt there could say that he is violating copyright law by using the title Karmapa. Look at page 8 of the Karmapa Foundation 2014 report. You will see that they hired a lawyer to try to reverse the copyright decision.

Look at Dhagpo Kagyu Ling and KTD and see where you feel more comfortable:

I find KTD’s website way too busy. As if they have a lot to prove. But again, not much transparency…
