Ogyen Trinley Dorje was the first registered “Living Buddha” to be recognised and ratified by Communist China

Dear readers,

Salut mes amis !

The Karma Kagyu sect collaborated with the United Front Work Department to make this happen.

“…in 1992, China helped select the seven-year-old Ogyen Trinley Dorje as the 17th Karmapa, installing him at Tibet’s Tsurphu monastery – the Karmapas’ ancestral abode, which was almost destroyed during the cultural revolution. He became the first reincarnated ‘living Buddha’ to be recognised and ratified by Communist China.”

Voilà !

There is no denying that this happened.

Courage !
