“The world cannot understand except through the worldly” Āryadeva

Dear readers,

Salut mes amis !

I submit for your consideration the following from the indigenous lost long transmission of crazy wisdom in the Karma Kagyu lineage.

“First, one should explain

Whatever is pleasant to specific people.

There is no way that someone who is repelled

Can be a suitable receptacle for the genuine dharma.

Just as barbarians cannot understand

Through any other language than their own,

So the world cannot understand

Except through the worldly.”

Āryadeva

Four hundred verses on the yogic practice of Bodhisattvas

Translation from Karl Brunnhölzl

The center of the sunlit sky

Voilà !

Compare this with the safe short Karma Kagyu lineage of China’s Ogyen Trinley Dorje whom does not allow for how we in the West practice the dharma.

Courage !
