Speaking of the mind “There is nothing to be removed from it and not the slightest to be added” Gampopa

Dear readers,

Salut mes amis !

More long Karma Kagyu crazy wisdom lineage dharma.

“There is nothing to be removed from it
And not the slightest to be added.
Actual reality is to be seen as it really is—
Who sees actual reality is released.”

Gampopa

Ornament of precious liberation

Translation from Karl Brunnhölzl

Straight from the heart

Voilà !

Note how this differs from China’s safe short Karma Kagyu lineage of Ogyen Trinley Dorje.

Courage !

Brought to you by the same lama who helped Karmapa escape from Tibet.

Everyone works together to aide the Manchurian candidate!

Looks like Lama Tsewang Rinpoche of Danang Foundation fame was made fat, rich and influential through his contribution to the abuse of the current Pawo Rinpoche. Ironic that when Pawo Rinpoche is placed under house arrest LTR flees to found an rich dharma center with Chinese money. The joke is on Pawo Rinpoche who knows no freedom and whose whereabouts are unknown. This Tulku system really makes a man rich.

This statement contradicts the general Mahayana training I have come to value from visits KTD and my local KTC. Yes, it might be true that the mind is perfect in an ultimate sense, but we must train in lojong and cultivate the paramitas in order to slowly come to realize this. Such realization is only experienced by great lamas, so we should, I have been taught, make aspirations that perhaps one day this realization will dawn.

Truth be told, I’m just a lay American and pray that I have the merit to be born in Tibet or as a monk or nun. Then I think my chances of realization will be greater than right now. At least that’s what my lama has told me. 🙂
