Is the 17th Karmapa a Chinese Buddhist pyramid scheme ?

While watching Last Week Tonight with John Oliver with my wife, Gigi, this particular episode which aired last night is a hilarious take down of MLM schemes, when the bit about “levels” of participation came up and she noted how it reminded her of her own experience as a young woman living n Chicago’s Northside in the 1980’s being recruited into EST, Erhard Training Seminars, Werner Erhard, according to the New York Times being the father of Self Help, the moment they wouldn’t let Gigi use the bathroom, nobody tells Gigi when she can or can’t do something, levels of self realization be damned it wasn’t meant to be, and what she knew about Shambhala Buddhism, not much, I dragged her to see Khandro Rinpoche at the Shambhala Meditation Center on Sheridan Road in Rogers Park whom she so loved what she was hearing that she later decided to take refuge the first chance she got afterwards which was at KTC Chicago in Cicero, with Bardo Tulku Rinpoche, that is how long ago this was, and of course we saw both Karl Brunnhölzl and Ari Goldfied there too, disciples of Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso, my kind of Buddhists, educated, independent minded lovers of being Buddhists in their own right, something we haven’t seen in the Karma Kagyu since the moment the 17th Karmapa and his Chinese Buddhist toxic ethno-nationalistic pyramid scene was inflicted upon the Buddhists of America in 2008, brought to you by supporters of the Chinese Communist Party’s ambition to become the leading Buddhist country of the world everywhere, all of which is to say that despite my wife knowing next to nothing of Shambhala Buddhism she pretty much nailed how Chogyam Trungpa’s Vajradhatu became today’s Shambhala Buddhism, which over forty-five later has literally come full circle, irony of irony, back to EST, Werner Erhard, the father of Sef-Help and his way of thinking, the very same school of thought that wouldn’t let my wife use the bathroom back in the 1980’s, which as every student of the Karma Kagyu in America can tell you that Werner Erhard paid for the 16th Karmapa’s visits to the United States of America in the 1970’s whom not only inspired Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche to get in on the Self-Help trade when he first launched Shambhala training, EST’s founder also had a major influence on Situ Rinpoche, the first Rolex Rinpoche of Tibetan Buddhism whom not coincidentally is the guru of the 17th Karmapa himself who not coincidentally is said Karmapa’s representative to the Buddhists of America, Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, the son of Damchö Yongdu, the 16th Karmapa’s Labrang, whom divorced his first wife which nobody knew existed until he divorced her, he sold their home to her for a dollar which made it public record,?I have no idea what that was about, remarried a young Taiwanese TV personality with whom he secretly had a daughter with, yes, Rinpoche can now say he has changed a diaper according to his current wife, who changed his name to Tony Kwahu to pass himself off as a Chinese American to the Chinese public for fear of the blow back this would cause him with the Tibetan Community around the world who would hate on him for being a traitor and a fraud, to this day he still wears robes in public instead of renouncing the conceit that he is something other than like the rest of us, and not coincidentally is presently promoting his latest self help book, published by Penguin Random House Books, “Emotional Rescue” which I ask my fellow Buddhists of America to not purchase until Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche speaks to our concern about the well being of Jamgon Kongtrul the fourth, whom we haven’t heard from since his last Facebook post in August in which he publicly proclaimed his independence from the 17th Karmapa’s Chinese Buddhist pyramid scheme.

This my, my friend, is racist against asians, Chinese in particular.

You are indeed, a product of the white mid-western, racist chattering-class.

    Have fun today!

    • This is a political act of resistance against the toxic racist ethno-nationalism of the 17th Karmapa’s “Tibetan Buddhism,” you can’t get more racist than reducing Buddhism to your own ethnicity, a Chinese Buddhist pyramid scheme, its victims are Chinese, which has resulted in the most racist form of Buddhism in the world today, that of the 17th Karmapa, which has fleeced Chinese Buddhists around the world to the tune of over a billion dollars according to the Guardian, this does not include the money the Panama Papers caught hiding in the British Virgin Islands using the same law firm used by members of the Chinese Communist Party to do so, and you can’t get more racist than said dictatorship, just ask the victims of its genocide against the Tibetan people.
