What does OTD’s 2017 Kagyu Monlam prayer festival to do with us?

2017 Kagyu Monlam prayer festival

It’s OTD telling us all in the West to go fuck ourselves with our Panama Papers scandal.

Yes, he is using Chinese money which he was caught hiding in an offshore bank account.

Yes, he is using the same law firm used by members of the Chinese Government to hide their money.

Disgusting.

His if the Karmapa does something it is not for us to question it attitude will be his undoing.

I submit this for your consideration.

    i think i missed something.

    • In 2007 OTD began receiving Chinese money. He hid said funds in an offshore bank account.

In 2008 OTD was caught laundering foreign currency.

In 2010 he was charged. At that time he stated that it was an honest mistake and that he would henceforth be financially transparent.

In 2016 we discovered thanks to the Panama Papers that OTD has been taking money from the Chinese since 2007.

Not only was he receiving money from the Chinese he was using said funds for his annual Kagyu Monlam prayer festival.

It isn’t the crime, the 2008 money laundering charge.

Anyone familiar with India knows how common a problem black money is.

There is so much of such money in India that in 2016 it had to change its currency.

It’s the cover up of the Chinese money OTD was hiding in the offshore bank account.

And that he used the same law firm used by members of the Chinese Government to hide said money.

In 2016 OTD could have come clean with us about what he had done.

His Labrang, the person responsible for the scheme, could have resigned.

      And so on.

Instead he chose to continue to use said Chinese to hold his 2017 Kagyu Monlam prayer festival.
