    What a joke.

These Tibetans will do anything to hold onto power.

At this point, why are you interested in a Tibetan Buddhist lineage. What has been established for us–the American line–is Mahamudra and Trungpa’s line.

What we need to preserve is the Mahamudra tradition as taught to us by Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche. His senior students, when they have reached a point of the same progress as KKR, must continue the instruction and the transmission to junior students.

I’m not there yet, but if I get there in this lifetime, it will be my aspiration to pass on the tradition, even when I’m told I’m not a qualified lama.

The teaching and transmission of Mahamudra by Americans will continue the dharma in the U.S. The Tibetan business of the Karma Kagyu lineage has nothing to do with my practice. It’s a sideline glance at best. It’s the same soap opera that has happened in Tibet for centuries!

    Peace,
    Jon

  4. It is highly embarrassing that the website on the one hand still uses the pic and the life story of the young Lodro Chokyi Nyima – and on the other hand completely refuses to mention that he resigned from his post of JKR (according to the Orgyen Trinley branch of Karma Kagyu Buddhism). This is not a good sign what concerns transparency, openness and respect towards the followers.

The old Tulku system is practically dead and an abuse of children. Some Tibetans still haven’t realised what are the times they are living in now.
