What does the life and experiences of the 17th Karmapa to do with us?

Contrary to the conventional wisdom of many of us here as we have previously discussed, what we do as Buddhists isn’t as is the case for most of what passes as Karma Kagyu here these days, the 17th Karmapa, KTD, and so on, reducible to our following in the footsteps of Tibetans, the how they did it of someone other than us in some other time and place did to achieve some end we have to take their on their in fact achieving, but instead something available to each and every one of us, our experiences.
