It’s true. In fact it’s truly absurd that the labrang of Jamgon Rinpoche has decided to ignore him altogether and focus on his predecessor. It’s as if to indicate that they hadn’t any faith in him and that when he decided to change his mind about his own life, they in essence said, “forget you, we will accomplish the work of the previous Jamgon Rinpoche”.

This should be remembered as a sign of the sickness that plagues the modern Kagyu lineage.

Magical authority figures may be be a very creative concept, but the dignity of being human depends upon individual sovereignty.
As a human being – thinking, creative and intelligent – you are the embodiment of eons of evolution, conscious and capable of great change.
Religion may be able to relay the knowledge of past generations, but when this construct becomes regulated and mandated without regard for human dignity, sovereignty and self awareness – it is nothing more than a mental prison.
Evolution involves change, danger and playful exploration. The knowledge of the past becomes a tool instead of a dogma when freely shared, debated and tested by free human beings.
