because tcky picturees matter more than potentil corruption? yikes

    • Yes, the only 17th Karmapa is corrupt.

People say, “black money” is the norm in India, and so on.

That being said if any other Buddhist leader with a following here was caught hiding money in an offshore bank account his or her brand would be finished in the United States.

I’m reminded of Trungpa ending up in Halifax after the MS Merwin Halloween sex scandal in the 1970’s.

For me it’s a Quebec thing.

I don’t like that the 17th Karmapa is taking money from the Chinese on the down low.

      He’s a collaborator.

That this doesn’t have Tibetans screaming for his head blows my mind:

      It’s personal.

I don’t want anything Chinese in my Tibetan Buddhism.

Too call it tacky is problematic for me in terms of language.

Pay the piper, call the song.

Chinese money, Chinese Karmapa, Chinese Kagyu Monlam.

Why the hate towards the chinese Bill?

  3. This is Chinese Hollywood at its finest. China has hijacked a good part of Tibetan Buddhism and we can look forward to more of this. It reminds me of Lantau Island in Hong Kong and the purpose built “village” that now sits in front of the monestary. It’s chinese disneyland at its finest. We are right to ask that the chinese step away from this, although they likely will never do so. They will keep puoring money into this until it is even more corrupt and vile than it is now. OTD the first of many Billionare Buddhist Lamas…….
