Audio of Trungpa’s Vajra Regent’s “Orphans of the Kagyu Lineage” performance piece of a ‘Community Talk’ at Karma Dzong, Boulder, Colorado, from March 25, 1977

Thomas Rich’s trailblazing attempt at being a lineage holder ended badly for all involved.

Just the sound of his voice makes me feel uncomfortable.

It’s so 1977.

I hate the Trungpa affect.

Just imagine you are listening to Jude Law in the role of the ‘Vajra Regent’ and put yourself in the moment.

Pour yourself a stiff drink, light up, whatever it takes, you are going to want to listen to this shit.

The transparency of where we were as a lingeage 40 years ago puts today’s Karma Kagyu to shame.
